Fort Providence MobileMill Training

Remember the wildfires of 2023?  They affected the trainings a lot.   Mid may got reposted to last September.   The training had some challenges:  the older battery looked like it took a charge–but the next day the alternator got hot and died.   That caused the voltage to drop and the forward reverse module to die as well!

Soooo we had to do other MobileMill related things while waiting for the alternator.  In the end we did get some cutting done, but forward and reverse was done by pulling the mill back and forth with a  strap!  That said, the fellows wer

A bison in the MIDDLE of the village!

e enthusiastic, and they learned  what they needed to cut up a log.  The first morning was driving through the village and I saw—I saw a bison or a buffalo eating grass in the ditch right by the road, and right by all the houses. That was amazing to me!
